Why plate-loaded for a commercial floor.

A plate-loaded machine is mechanically simple. There is no weight stack, no cable, no selector pin — just a lever arm, a pivot, and bearings. Fewer moving parts means fewer failure points, which means less downtime for your gym and lower maintenance cost over the life of the equipment.

For a gym owner the arithmetic is direct. A cable stack failure takes the machine offline until a technician replaces the cable. A plate-loaded machine with sealed bearings runs for years without intervention — and when a bearing eventually wears, it is a standard industrial size your local engineer can source and press in without calling us. That is why our warranty covers the welded frame for 10 years and bearings for 2 years separately — because they are genuinely different maintenance profiles.

On the training floor, plate-loaded equipment signals seriousness to the members who pay the most per month. Serious lifters choose a gym by what is on the floor, and they stay longer at gyms that invest in equipment they recognise as commercial grade. A 45\u00b0 leg press loaded to 400 kg does not need marketing — it markets itself.

That does not mean plate-loaded is the answer for every floor. Cable and selectorised machines fill a different role — faster seat changes, guided movement for newer members, and a wider exercise library per square metre. Most commercial floors run both. We manufacture both, and the quote covers the mix.

Where it works

Built for these floors

Independent gyms

The core market. A plate-loaded lineup gives your floor credibility with serious lifters and keeps maintenance costs predictable for the next decade.

University S&C rooms

Strength and conditioning programmes need equipment rated for daily heavy use by athletes. Plate-loaded machines tolerate the load and the turnover.

Military & first responder facilities

Operational fitness demands equipment that survives high-volume use with minimal maintenance. Standard bearings and parts mean no supply chain dependency.

Leisure centres & council gyms

Public facility procurement requires documented compliance and warranty terms. Every machine ships with a specification pack and declaration of conformity.

Production lines

Three lines, one floor

Each line addresses a different training need. Frame finish and upholstery colour-match across all lines — your floor looks unified regardless of the mix.

APEX line
11 MODELS

PL series (11 models). The premium plate-loaded tier — chest press, shoulder press, lat pulldown, seated row, leg press, leg curl, biceps curl, and triceps extension. PL covers the core compound stations most commercial floors start with. Heavy frames, sealed bearings, and a gold accent finish that signals top-of-range.

FORGE line
32 MODELS

BL series (32 models). The widest plate-loaded selection — incline chest press, decline chest press, pec fly, lateral raise, fixed pulldown, low row, seal row, 45° leg press, kneeling leg curl, glute drive, hip thrust, and dual-function combos. FORGE extends the floor beyond the core compound stations with specialist frames for facilities that train beyond the basics.

TEMPO line
48 MODELS

TM series (48 models). Converging and diverging lever paths, iso-lateral movement, and the widest selection of any single line — iso-lateral chest press, high row, leg press, squat machine, V-squat, shark squat, abdominal crunch, and dual-function combos. The workhorse of a plate-loaded floor.

PULSE line
6 MODELS

PS series (6 models). Scissor-action rows, pulldowns, hack squats, squat trainers, and kneeling leg curls. Compact footprints and a distinctive lever geometry that sits between traditional plate-loaded and machine-guided movement.

DRIVE line
13 MODELS

DZ series (13 models). Purpose-built machines for specific training demands — standing abductor, standing hip thrust, prone row, adjustable chest press, pendulum squat, rhino squat, Smith squat, tyre flip trainer, and push sled. These are the models that make a floor distinctive, not just functional.

FRAME line
7 MODELS

TB series (7 plate-loaded models). 45° leg presses, hack squats, hack slides, incline squats, seated calf raises, and T-bar rows. Heavy-duty frames shared with the rack and bench ranges — same tube section, same finish, same warranty.

FAQ

60 days from confirmed order to the equipment leaving the production line, plus shipping. We build to order — nothing is sitting on a shelf, and nothing is ever out of stock. A typical European delivery adds 5–10 working days on top of production.

A plate-loaded machine uses Olympic weight plates on horns — you load the exact weight you want. A pin-selected (selectorised) machine uses an internal weight stack and a selector pin for faster changes. Plate-loaded has fewer moving parts, lower maintenance cost, and higher maximum loads. Pin-selected is faster to adjust between users. Most commercial floors run both.

It varies by model. The 45° leg press is rated to 400 kg, hack squat to 350 kg, and upper-body machines between 150 and 250 kg. These are working loads, not theoretical limits — the frame is designed to handle them daily under commercial use.

Yes. Most orders combine APEX (PL series) and FORGE (BL series) with TEMPO (TM) and PULSE (PS) depending on the training programme. Add DRIVE (DZ) for specialist stations or FRAME (TB) for leg presses and hack squats. The frame finish and upholstery colour match across all lines — your floor looks unified regardless of the mix.

Any RAL colour, matched to your brand. A custom colour run needs a minimum of 6 units in that colour. Below six, the order runs in a standard finish at the same price. See the finishes page for the standard palette and swatch ordering.

Sealed, maintenance-free bearings in standard industrial sizes. When a bearing eventually wears — after years of commercial use — your local engineer can source and press in a replacement without calling us. That is deliberate: we do not use proprietary sizes that lock you into our supply chain.

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to your door anywhere we deliver. The quoted price includes freight, customs, duty and tail-lift unloading. Machines ship assembled on pallets — bolt to the floor and train. No assembly required on site.

No minimum in units. You can order one machine or a full floor. The only minimum is the custom colour threshold — 6 units for a non-standard RAL colour. Standard finishes have no minimum at all.

Most plate-loaded setups land between €8,000and €25,000 delivered DDP, depending on the number of machines and which lines you combine — APEX and FORGE for the core, TEMPO for lever-path variety, DRIVE for specialist stations. Send the floor plan and you get a real figure — equipment list, layout and a landed price — in three working days, free.

Designed to EN ISO 20957-1 Class S for commercial use. HARTIS is identified as the manufacturer under GPSR. Ask for the test report or the declaration of conformity and you get them — no login, no sales call first.
